Laminectomy

Laminectomy is a surgical procedure performed to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves caused by conditions such as spinal stenosis, herniated discs, or bone spurs. During the procedure, a small portion of the vertebral bone called the lamina is removed to create more space for the spinal nerves. This helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore normal nerve function, allowing patients to resume daily activities more comfortably.
